Outside of comedy, he is also the owner of the largest made-in-America razor company, Western Razor.

Jacob Schick sold the company in 1928 and founded another company bearing his name, in order to market his newly invented electric shavers. Patrick Frawley purchased controlling shares in Schick in 1955 and held onto the company until 1970, when the company became a division of Warner–Lambert.

Unfortunately, counterfeit razor blades are very common. It is often difficult to distinguish them from the original.

Many states across the U.S. have actually made it illegal for barbers to shave their clients with straight razors. They cite health concerns with reusing the same blade again and again and consequently require a razor with a disposable blade.

Born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Gillette established the American Safety Razor Company, forerunner to the Gillette Company, and sold its first razor in 1903. Although only 51 razor sets and 168 blades were sold that year, by 1904, sales had jumped to 90,000 razors and two million blades.

After college, Gutfeld interned at The American Spectator, as an assistant to conservative writer R. Emmett Tyrrell. He then worked as a staff writer at Prevention magazine and as an editor for various Rodale Press magazines. In 1995, he became a staff writer at Men's Health.
