I really enjoyed my classes at UConn and the majority of my professors were amazing and super helpful with questions. I even took graduate level courses as an undergrad and a majority of these professors were great at their job as well. I got involved in research in the PNB department and it was an amazing experience and I wrote my honors thesis on the research I performed in my lab. There are numerous clubs to get involved with and to help with meeting people which was especially helpful after COVID. Also, of course the basketball was my favorite!

I loved UConn. As an in-state student I was very much against UConn but it truly became my home. The people are amazing, the classes can be rigorous or not and the athletics are AMAZING. Being able to experience two national championships and a million other sporting events was one of the best things of my college career. The housing is nothing too special but its comparable to other schools. The food is pretty good. There is either a lot going on or nothing but the school and people try their best with events. I WOULD 100% RECOMMEND. Bleed blue!

Attending the University of Connecticut has been an overall positive experience. I believe the advantages of attending a large state school with lots of extracurriculars and active student life cannot be exaggerated. Through UConn, I have found an on-campus job that pays me well, has introduced me to all of my greatest friends, and has given me the experience and professional tools I need to pursue my dream career after graduation. A school like UConn is uniquely equipped to have "something for everyone," and I believe the rich student activity culture on campus speaks to this. However, in recent years the disadvantages to attending such an expansive institution have come to the forefront of many students' minds. Housing has become increasingly inaccessible, and fees across the board have become more expensive, yet none of that money seems to be going back into student life, or most of UConn's own faculty, who have been threatened with cuts to all CLAS departments.
